Michael A. Boswell is an experienced litigator and advisor with over 16 years of experience as a business attorney. His experience includes day to day business operations and litigation as well as an intellectual property practice. He is licensed to practice law in both Washington and California. He graduated cum laude from Whittier Law School, where he was a member and an editor of the law review. He also attended Whittier College as an undergraduate where he played Division III football.

His practice involves all aspects of business law, from operations to litigation. He has had the pleasure of working with a range of companies from start ups, to small regional companies, as well as national and international based companies. His practice has enabled him to work on a one-on-one basis with everyone from CEO's to COO's, to in-house counsel, and just about every other type of person on the management team. This interaction has made him very cognizant of such items as the respective company's culture and operating statements, allowing him to take into consideration each of those respective operating parameters when he is advising the client on how  best to proceed to protect their core interests. Mike takes the approach that most matters can and should be settled without going through a trial.

Mike has extensive background in the construction industry, representing general contractors, sub-contractors and design professionals on both public and private work projects. His practice includes the acquisition, disposition and development of commercial, industrial, office and shopping centers; negotiating and drafting of commercial leases; and representing borrowers in secured and unsecured transactions.

Mike also has extensive intellectual property experience having managed disputes dealing with all facets of intellectual property and technology, including trademarks and copyright infringement actions, trademark opposition proceedings, and matters concerning trade secrets, trade dress, domain names, meta-tags, false advertising, right of publicity, unfair competition, anti-trust, counterfeiting, privacy and the internet. He uses his extensive litigation experience to counsel clients on the protection and enforcement of their intellectual property rights.

Mike has litigated and successfully tried cases, including equitable actions, before state and federal courts throughout the country. He has also assisted the enforcement and litigation of trademark and service mark matters on behalf of clients worldwide.
